Who We Are
Kata’s Hempstead Agro Farms was established in 2022 after years of dedicated research into hemp and its benefits. Our mission is to drive hemp production, research & development, and commercialization in Pakistan.
We believe the world needs bold, out-of-the-box solutions to spark the environmental revolution our planet urgently needs — and hemp can play a vital role in reversing the looming climate crisis. With cotton production in decline and demand for consumer goods on the rise, industrial hemp offers a renewable, eco-friendly alternative that is both sustainable and versatile.
The northern rainfed regions of Pakistan, including the Pothar area of Punjab, present unique opportunities for hemp cultivation. Known as “The Green Gold,” hemp produces a cotton-like fiber after processing, offering a powerful substitute for resource-intensive crops.
Our Mission
We believe hemp holds immense, yet largely untapped, potential that can transform agriculture, industry, and the environment. Through research, innovation, and strategic partnerships, we aim to establish Pakistan as a leader in industrial hemp development and commercialization.
Working alongside the University of Agriculture Faisalabad and the Pakistan Agricultural Research Council, we are building an industry–academic alliance to explore and expand hemp’s possibilities. Beyond its environmental impact, hemp has the power to boost exports through value-added products, strengthening both local communities and global trade.
